Welcome to the Austin Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology, ASPP, which was founded in 1988 as a local chapter of the Division of Psychoanalysis, (Division 39), of the American Psychological Association.
ASPP offers monthly programs, classes, and conferences related to psychoanalytic theory, practice, and research. These educational opportunities are open to all licensed mental health professionals and graduate students who are currently enrolled in academic mental health programs. ASPP members come from a number of mental health fields and include psychoanalysts, psychologists, licensed professional counselors, social workers, psychiatrists, and graduate students.
ASPP's monthly speakers, class leaders, and conference presenters are composed of experienced clinicians in the Austin community as well as nationally and internationally recognized contributors to psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
