I am interested in giving away (so as not to throw away) a treasure trove of psychoanalytic articles. My stash includes bound copies of the reading that accompanied the early ASPP yearly programs and copies of individual articles by well known and a few from more obscure psychoanalytic writers.
If you are interested and have the room for and appreciation of lots of paper
    please give me a call.

We are excited to announce that ASPP is beginning a Mentoring Program for the 2016-2017 academic year! The program will match participants/mentees with ASPP analysts and experienced psychoanalytic clinicians to help direct mentees in their interests related to psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. The mentoring program is available to mental health clinicians at all levels of training and experience.

Mentor-mentee dyads will meet monthly, on average, over the course of the year. Interested clinicians will submit an application to become a mentee, and we will do our best to make compatible matches with mentors. The focus of mentoring varies for each mentor-mentee dyad, and can include case discussion, theoretical and contextual formulations, starting a private practice, agency practice (individual work & organizational dynamics), and career development. However, it should be noted that our mentoring program does not include supervision.

Mentoring has a long tradition in psychoanalytic training and professional development. Mentees have an opportunity to learn about psychoanalysis and build relationships within the Austin psychoanalytic community. Mentors have an opportunity to guide and support the next generation of Austin’s psychoanalytic thinkers.

The mentoring program is free for members of ASPP. Mentee application forms are available on our website. MENTEE APPLICATION
